I once saw someone actually stop... on the streets of Manhattan, to smell the roses.
Memories preserve an identity, and I’ve learned that {e}motion is the groundwork upon which every moment in our lives are built. The beauty, allure & grace of the very minute the memory is made — replicated in a photograph and preserved for time: that is the focus of my business. I rely strictly on {e}motion to communicate the essence of identities and build the photograph from a unique angle; much like the moment itself.
I understand these emotions, I know the moment, because I’ve felt them too. Using the lens to simultaneously interact with the environment and the emotion of the “scene” is something that comes quite naturally ~ or perhaps gifted to me by my amazing Dad, who told me {just this year} that he too, once owned a photography business. Perhaps it is also my fascination with observing and analyzing life’s endless {scenes} and reacting as any trained actress is precisely taught; with patience, observation, and {re}consideration.
Looking at life from a different perspective, a different angle, a reconsidered approach has helped shape life {in motion.} As an actress, I’ve always examined and connected with life as if it were a movie scene being filmed; as a photographer identifying angles within the scene to capture breathtaking and memorable stills.
